A Genetic Screen for Mutations Affecting Development of the Inner Ear of Xenopus Tropicalis

The focus of this project is to identify mutations affecting different aspects of ear development including induction of the otic placode, the formation and patterning of the otic vesicle, the formation and placement of the ear otoliths, as well as mutations affecting the growth and differentiation of the semi-circular canals and other inner ear structures.
